4 Ways to Keep Memories of Your Vacations

Preserve your holiday fun and events,
for yourself and your family

Time spent on vacation is time that should be cherished with your loved ones. It is time for strengthening relationships and creating lifelong memories. In light of that, is keeping memories of your vacation a priority?

According to the U.S. Travel Association, Americans took 1.8 billion trips around the world in 2018. A typical employee earned 23.9 days of paid time off that same year. Unfortunately, workers left some 768 million vacation days on the table.

You value your vacation time enough to take full advantage of it. So why not put every effort into preserving the memories you make?

Here are four ways to do just that:

Hire Professional Photographers

Anyone can take pictures with a cell phone. Such pictures are adequate enough, but sometimes they don't truly capture the emotions you are feeling during an especially memorable experience. Hiring professionals might be the better option.

Imagine that you are planning a whale watching tour off the coast of Washington. Looking around for professional Seattle photographers could give you a lead on someone who knows how to capture whale watching in all its glory.

Record Live Audio

Another great idea is to record live audio describing what it is you are experiencing. Believe it or not, audio recordings bring the imagination to life years after an event has taken place. They make it possible for you to hear the emotion with every word spoken. The best part is that you can record audio right on your phone.

Vacations are meant to be enjoyed, alone and with your family, so you should
keep memories of your vacations for future enejoyments.

Create a Scrapbook

Scrapbooking has emerged as a popular craft among vacationers looking to preserve their memories. Your scrapbook can be anything you want it to be. It can include prints of your favorite photos, local postcards, travel agency literature, etc.

Scrapbooking is also a hobby you and your kids can do together. Not only will you create a way to preserve your vacation memories, you will make new memories as you scrapbook around the kitchen table.

Send Yourself Postcards

An old-school way to preserve vacation memories is to send yourself postcards. You can buy postcards at virtually any gift shop and mail them to your home at regular intervals. Postcards allow you to capture your thoughts at any given moment, complete with a date and a genuine post office cancellation mark.

Your vacation memories are precious. Preserve them and you will be able to relive those memories anytime you like.
