Beginner Bike Traveling
Tips
How to travel with your bike on rough terrain
Travelling around town, or when you go on a longer trip will be more comfortable if you know what to watch out
for with your bike. Keep in mind that you will have to understand how your bike works, and how to keep it
well-maintained while on the road.
Although it is not rocket science, there are a lot of things that could go wrong. Moreover, learn how to travel
with your bike through unrideable terrain.

Get Fit
First things first, before you even consider going on longer trips, be sure to exercise and to build up your
stamina, otherwise it will be hard to get around because you will be out of breath shortly. Furthermore, riding
your bike everyday will not only help you stay fit, but it will be a great way to save some money on travelling
costs.

Do You Enjoy Tours?
Sightseeing is amazing if you are going on a route that will allow you to see a lot, and now imagine the
possibilities when you can go on your own pace. Bike touring is a fantastic way to see roadside attractions and to
get to travel around a lot. But, always plan out your route beforehand and make sure that you bring enough supplies
with you, so that you are prepared no matter what happens.

Cut Down On Luxury
If you want to travel the world by bike, you will have to get used to the idea of sleeping in hostels and
hotels, or if you are brave enough to camp as well. But, do not expect that these will be a bad experience, because
you are going to meet some interesting and entertaining people along the way. Who knows, you might even convince a
few others to continue your adventure with you. In any case, you need to keep an open mind, as it will help you
gain new friends as well.

What Do You Need To Bring With Yourself?
Depending on your destination, you will have a chance to either pack light, or to
figure out a way to replenish your supplies along the way. Nevertheless, always make a checklist you can follow,
because it will be easier for you to see if you have brought everything with you or if you need to stop and shop
for something. Keep in mind that most things you got used to you will be able to buy in various different
locations.

Carry Your Bike on a Plane
There is terrain you simply cannot pass, unless you develop flight in the
meantime. Flying over some part of the country will be necessary because you cannot go through it with a bike,
either it is unpassable or simply too dangerous to trek alone. Keep in mind that you will have
to pack your bike properly to get on the plane and to have a safe flight. On the other hand, make sure that you can easily
take your bike apart and put it back once you reached your destination, because that way you will ensure that
nothing will happen to it during flight.

A Difference in Your Bike
Bicycles come in many shapes and sizes, and depending on how you would like to
travel, there is a choice between regular ones and even electrical atomic bikes to help you out on the road. They are a great companion as they will give you the extra boost you
need in troublesome places. Moreover, they are eco-friendly and the batteries will be charged by your
pedalling, so that you do not have to stop and charge it manually. The stored energy can even help you out
when you feel tired, as it will pedal for you for quite some time, and on a longer trip, it could be
beneficial.

Proper maintenance is key to keeping your bike in top shape, and you will have to
learn the ins and outs of how to find and get rid of issues. Moreover, keep a number of tools on you when
travelling, because you can never know what will happen, and that you can stop and fix the problem immediately. In
the end though, remember to have fun.
