Three Must-See Attractions
Guide to three of Dubai's amazing holiday attractions
Dubai is home to a number of amazing attractions, all of which attract
travellers from different parts of the world. However, some are more special than others, and you – if you are
visiting the city soon – should make a point of adding to your itinerary.
We have put together a short guide of three of these amazing attractions, to make sure that you don’t miss
|Perhaps the most featured and the best
known attraction in Dubai is the world's tallest building Burj Khalifa, completed after 5 years
of construction in 2009. (Image copyright:
The tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa gives travellers the opportunity to see Dubai
from a whole new perspective.
Standing a whopping 830-metres tall, the Burj Khalifa is a skyscraper like no other, and allows guests to travel
up the fastest elevator in the world to reach two different observation decks, one at 448-metres, and the other at
555-metres, which is the newest observation deck named the SKY level.
Apart from the stunning view from up top, the Burj Khalifa is surrounded by an 11-hectare park that was inspired
by the symmetries of the desert flower, Hymenocallis, which is lined with palm trees and a series of water pool
with jet fountains. The Burj Khalifa Park is a blissful retreat where you can indulge in nature.
|Known as souks, the traditional markets
are a popular attraction, where you can find
an amazing range of goods and products. (Image copyright:
Souks are traditional markets, and there are a number of them scattered around Dubai, each selling different
products and goods. The most popular souk, for obvious reasons, is the Gold Souk. Here you will find amazing gold
trinkets, jewellery and Arabic designs at very reasonable prices.
Other Dubai souks include the textile souk, spice souk, and perfume souk, each selling exactly
what their names suggest, again, at very reasonable prices.
It’s good to note that none of the prices of any of the goods or products are set in stone, so brush up on your
bartering skills in order to get the best deal.
Aquaventure Water Park

of the many attractions that you will find
at Aquaventure Water Park in Dubai. (Image copyright:
Filled to the brim with heart-thumping, adrenaline-pumping, record-breaking slides, Aquaventure is a Dubai water park that will blow your mind.
Split into two zones – The Tower of Poeidon and The Tower of Neptune – Aquavenure offers a cool retreat away
from the city’s blistering heat, even if only for a day!
At The Tower of Poseidon, prepare to feel total weightlessness on the Zoomerango, or take on the monstrous
leviathan that is the Aquaconda. Will you be brave enough to take on the world’s largest water slide?
At The Tower of Neptune, there is a number of mysterious and dark tunnels to explore, a few of which will
catapult riders into shark lagoon which is filled with rays and sharks. What’s more, there are a number of fast and
furious water coasters and the chance to face the Leap of Faith.
From exciting water rides to souks where you can shop until you drop and seeing the city from the top of the
world’s tallest building, Dubai is a magical city that offers nothing but fun, and a number of thrills and spills
that will have you going back for more! What will you do or see first during your vacation in Dubai?
