If you are looking for one-of-a-kind adventure, sailing to some exotic destinations may just be what you need. Such destinations will offer you some unforgettable moments on the water. Some of the following exotic places are favorites among the sailing enthusiasts. So if you have never visited any of them, it is time to grab your sailing cap and take on an adventure.

Nile River

Many ships have sailed on Nile throughout the history since this river was one of the biggest transport corridors in the world. If you take on this adventure you will get the opportunity to sail back to the history. One of the most popular routes is the one that takes you all the way from Cairo to Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. Besides enjoying the beautiful view while on the river, you can stop and visit some popular places such as the famous Alexandrian library, Luxor and Meroe pyramids of the Kushite era. Sailing slowly and visiting all of these places can take around 30 days. If you have this much free time, sailing through the Suez canal is something you should definitely consider.

French Riviera

The celebrated French coastline of Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez and Monaco is the next on the list. The French Riviera is full of myths, legends and celebrity scandals. Famous for the hedonistic lifestyle and glitz, this destination is one of the most glamorous you can find. Between 7 and 14 days is more than enough to enjoy the waters of this beautiful place. You can visit the ruins of the Grimaldi castle at Grimaud, Frejus Cathedral as well as the Monte Carlo Casino and the Villa Ephrussi. Porquerolles island is another jewel of French Riviera you should definitely consider visiting. You will also get the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful views of the Mediterranean coastline. Bay of Islands

The Bay of Islands is a very popular destination in the beautiful Northland region of New Zealand. With 144 islands and bays, it offers you a vast of places you should see. Explore all the colorful coastlines, lakes and rivers. You can also enjoy some beautiful underwater landscapes as the Bay of Islands offers some of the greatest places for diving. Fishing and snorkeling are some other activities this place offers you. Or if all you want to do is relax you can just relax under the sails and enjoy fascinating landscapes. Galapagos Islands

Sailing around this volcanic archipelago is another destination you just cannot miss out on. Wildlife imagery this place offers is something you will not be find anywhere else. Sea lions, iguanas, giant tortoises and many different types of birds are just some of the animals you will be taking a look if you opt for Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. It takes only a week to visit all the interesting places in Galapagos. Besides looking for animals and enjoying the beautiful coastline you can also snorkel and dive in the azure waters. Since this sea wonderland is quite endangered, you have to tread carefully while at Galapagos. All that wildlife and unique plants make Galapagos such a unique place and something every sailing enthusiast should see.

Whitsunday Islands

There are 74 different islands you can visit at Whitsunday in Australia. Besides enjoying in the azure sea you will see some splendid mountainous regions near the coastline. Actually, most of the things you will see are half-drowned mountains. Besides such landscapes you will see many sea turtles and coral gardens. If you decide to go diving straight from your boat you will see many colorful fish and aquatic plants. Some of the islands you will definitely enjoy are Hamilton Island, Hook Island and Hayman Island.

It takes around a week to visit all of the islands and see everything you can. Be sure to prepare your boat if undertaking an adventure like this. The sea is quite clear at Whitsunday Islands but it is important to have everything in its place for any journey like this.
