This is the biggest game reserve in Africa and is home to many different species of animal, including the big five; the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and the rhinoceros. Kruger Park is more than just the largest park; it offers a variety of ways to experience these animals in their natural surroundings. You can choose from a traditional safari, a walking safari or even a cycling safari. Even the accommodation is flexible; a traditional hotel, tents in the wilderness or, a luxury lodge in the heart of the bush.
Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You can climb to the top of Table Mountain, or take the cable car if you prefer. From here you can look over the whole of Cape Town and on, to the white sandy beaches and the deep blue sea. To the other side of the mountain you can see the plains and possibly a herd of wildebeest! The city is bustling, vibrant and full of life. You can find traditional African food or international cuisine; it is even possible to dance the night away or enjoy an exotic cocktail. Don't forget the Cape Carnival, too.
Cape Town also acts as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding coastline; you should be able to see penguins and giant turtles on the beaches. Look to the sea and you may see a pod of orcas or sharks swimming by!
South Africa is becoming known for the quality of its wine. It has gradually improved and now appears around the world, rivaling the Californians and even some of the French wine! You can take a trip to one, or more of the wine yards and see how the wine is made. Of course, you can also sample the wine and buy some to take home with you!
Johannesburg used to be merely a stopover as holiday makers passed through on their way to Cape Town or another part of South Africa. However, it is now becoming a destination in its own right. It is rapidly developing a buzzing atmosphere and a good selection of cafes, restaurants and wine bars. There are an excellent range of accommodation options and an abundance of top end shops, which will rival those in the most fashionable cities in the world. You can even visit the apartheid museum to understand South Africa’s past a little better.
South Africa has a huge range of luxurious hotels, spas and trips.
